The SP512 is a 5-stage 12-wire 1-amp surge suppressor for 28 volt control lines.  The 5 stages protect from surges in either direction.  It is used outdoors to protect both the CSM1 and the cable to the TAC3 Controller from surges caused by nearby lightning strikes.

The SP58 is a 5-stage 8-wire 3-amp surge suppressor for 28 volt power signals.  It is used to protect the power lines for the DC or Stepper motors and the power for the relays in the CSM1.

The SP312 is a 3-stage 12-wire 1-amp surge suppressor for 28 volt control signals.  It is used where the cable from the SP512 suppressor enters the facility where the TAC3 controller is located.  Only one side is protected, as a lightning strike inside the building is unlikely.

The SP38 is a 3-stage 8-wire 3-amp surge suppressor for 28 volt power signals.
